Metal Build Freedom Gundam Prism Coating Version Review | Tamashii Nation 2012

This is an unboxing review of the Tamashii Nation 2012 – Metal Build Freedom Gundam Prism Coating Version. The prism coating version is the same as the regular one – accessory and construction wise. When we say prism coating (in terms of how Bandai do it) we usually get a glossy car-like finish. Anyway, I must say that the figure excels in articulation. A lot of the armors are segmented to allow the figure to move freely, heck I was even able to make it sit like a baby. However, we did notice a lot of quality control issues. Some of the parts have scratches on them and some pieces are loose. With regards to paint on some tiny details, the colors tend to bleed or cross over to other parts. We also noticed that the clear coat turned yellow especially on those areas where the clear coat is tick. The issue is common among all types of white paint with clear coating but can be resolved easily with some known industry techniques. Perhaps they just did not pay much attention or Bandai’s Quality Assurance team in their China factory were sleeping in the job.

Metal Build 00 Gundam Seven Sword and MB 0 Raiser Review

We have here a double review of 2 Metal Build figures namely the 00 Gundam Seven Sword and the add-on pack 0 Raiser. They were released back in 2011 with 00 Gundam 7 sword at March and 0 Raiser with GN-sword III on October. These two (though released separately) were the first ever Metal Build figure made. So just after a few months the price has sky rocketed to more than 200% of the original release price. Finding one nowadays is considered difficult or too expensive. Luckily, we were able to get them both for a very cheap price.  Both of them cost us around 10500 php only. Truly a steal deal for an MIB (mint in box) set. Now, let us get into the review!  ^_^

SDGO Wing Gundam Zero Endless Waltz Review

We have here an unboxing review of SDGO Wing Gundam Zero Endless Waltz Toy Figure. If you will notice, the name is now corrected. Before we all know this character to be Wing Zero Custom Gundam, but according to Bandai, that was a translation error. SDGO figures are made to represent the Capsule Fighter Online Game. These figures looks the same as the old SD Archive figures but only better. Well now, despite the lack of articulation, I really enjoyed reviewing this figure. I had a hard time trying to re-create the buster shooting pose. Anyway, overall, this was worth the money especially if you are a Gundam Wing Series fan!

SDGO Launcher & Sword Strike Gundam Review | Capsule Fighter

We have here a “rare color variation” of the SD Gundam Online Capsule Fighters figure. Instead of having the regular full colored regular version, we have the DEACTIVED mode version of Launcher & Sword Strike Gundam. Only the first few releases of the SDGO toy figure line by Bandai has the rare color variation versions. In case you don’t know SDGO figures looks the same as the old and hard to find SD Archive figures. Same with other SDGO figures, this Launcher and Sword Strike Gundam has very limited articulation. But nevertheless it is an overall great figure. Bigger than your SD kits and smaller than 1/144 kit. Seed fans will enjoy this super deformed figure. ^_^

GFF MC Psycho Gundam Hong Kong Night Ver. | Tamashii 2009 | Review

Finally decided to open up and do an unboxing review of what we consider to be a rare find. We have here a Gundam Fix Figuration: Metal Composite MRX-009 Psycho Gundam dubbed as the Hong Kong Night Version which was released back in year 2009 through the Tamashii Nations. The main difference between the HK version and the regular version of the Psycho Gundam is that the HK version is done in a “glossy-chrome-black-car-like-finish”. Forgive the long description but I that is how I want to describe it. Sadly, the whole beauty of this figure was not captured by my equipment. If only I have the resources and photography skills of PROs haha. I did the best I could to review this kit. This is a must have especially for GFF collectors. I give it a 10/10 rating.

SDGO RX-78-2 (G3 Rare Color Variation) Review – SD Gundam Online Capsule Fighter

This is an unboxing review of an SDGO RX-78-2 Gundam figure. The only difference is that this one is a G3 rare color variation (a.k.a RX-78-3). It is technically the same as the regular RX-78-2 figure except for the colors. We got this from Toy Kingdom roughly 6 months ago back when only a few people care they exist. I was told that for each box of each type shipped, only 1 of this type can be found inside the box. Before we start the review, I just want to tell you that SDGO is basically a reincarnation of the SD Archive series Bandai had before.

Robot Damashii Nu Gundam & Full Expansion Set Review

Today we are going to have a double unboxing review. We decided to open up the Robot Damashii Nu Gundam and the RD Full Expansion Set (Bandai online shop exclusive item sold separately) so we could see what are the benefits of buying the Full Extension Set. This set here is the first Robot Damashii that we ever bought. The reason behind why we bought them is because this is the only set we know of that could replicate the Pyramid Shield Defense of the Nu Gundam. Sure you could scratch build it, but SB-ing is a something we don’t have time to do. So simply put, if you want to have a nice Pyramid Shielding Nu Gundam in your cabinet without effort then by all means get this set. Being our first RD, we do not have basis with regards to quality. But we do not have any complaints about the figure overall. A 9.5 out of 10 rating would suffice.

Guncannon | Pringles Gundam Display Figure | Review | Photos

I was cleaning one of the shelves when I noticed that my two Pringles x Gundam Display Figures were nearing the expiration date. So I decided to open one of them up and share the photos of what is inside. I really thought that a model kit was inside (a really tiny model kit)… But it was only a mini figure *sigh*. I am not sure if this belongs to the “gashapon” category (perhaps not). Anyway, this figure is silver in color (think rustic silver surfer) and comes with a base that can connect with 3 other of the same series. I will open up one tonight since I am planning to eat the other pringles tomorrow. ^_^

SD Archive Wing Gundam | Review | Unboxing

We have here an unboxing review of an SD Archive Wing Gundam. This is a must have for Gundam Wing fans. Its the biggest SD version of Wing Gundam that I know of (correct me if I am wrong). This Gundam Wing here can also transform into “bird mode” which I will show later in the review. AFAIK this is the 2nd SD Archive release based on the number indicated on it’s box. SD Archives are bigger than your regular SD Gunpla kits and are made of rubber and plastic. Some of the parts have screws on them.  Moving on…

SD Gundam Online (Capsule Fighter) Heavy Arms Custom | Review | Unboxing

It has been a while since we opened up an SDGO figure. This time we will do an unboxing review of the SD Gundam Online (Capsule Fighter) Heavy Arms Custom. We are fans of the Gundam Wing Series  so we really like that SD figures like this one exists. In case you are not aware, SDGO Figures are based on the old SD Archive series by Bandai as well. They are bigger than SD Gunpla Kits and they are made of plastic and rubber. You will also notice that this figures have screws mostly at the back area. Articulation is limited but not much of a problem. They are deformed (hence SD) so expect little movement. Ok then, let us proceed with the unboxing.
