We have here something that is very old and something that I bought for only 150 pesos hahaha! This is an unboxing review of our High Complete Model (HCM) Johnny Ridden’s Zaku-II (MS-06R-2). This is a 1/144 Gundam figure that was made in the year 1984. It may not look complex or articulated like the Gundam kits we have today, but I am pretty sure that it was the best that they had back in 1984. As the term itself implies, it was supposed to be a high quality figure. In fact, it is as heavy as some 1/100 kits though it is only 1/144. It seems to have some metal parts inside which I cannot easily see. Well, I can’t really complain much since I bought it for a cheap price. hahaha! moving on with the review ^___^

BOX
-box is almost as big as your typical SD box
-looks like newspaper print
-our box is already dented and dirty
-has a classy illustration on all sides

UNBOXING
-well, you need to slide out the inner section as shown below
-the inner box is covered only by a thin styro plate
so these are the stuff inside
we have this paper here which I can’t read haha
a card, which looks like it can be compiled together with other cards
the manual… 1 sheet- folded into 4 pages total
the rest…
as you can see, we have some runners… glad that there is still some cutting to do!
-I actually though they were dry transfer decals.
-but apparently, they are plastic stickers
-you need to manually cut them from the sheet
some of the other pieces
and the ones still attached to the runners
the mobile suit without the accessories attached…
like I said, there is still some building need to be done here…
first off is the bazooka
then the machine gun
the verniers for the legs
heat axe
probably, attaching the backpack was the hardest thing I did for this one…
the fitting is so tight that it was hard to push it in… I trimmed down the pegs in half just to get it in…
you will have 2 verniers to attach on the backpack as well
there are two color choices for the head fin…
applied some of the stickers too… (remember that I first thought they were dry decals… so notice the ugly cut… I did not remove it anymore after putting it there…)

presenting Johnny Ridden’s Zaku-II
those hands look like human hands…
the fingers are grouped 3-1… it opens enough to grab the weapons

ARTICULATION
-don’t expect much from an old figure haha
-though old, it seems to be nicely done
arms have elbow joints and it can bend 90 degrees
it can stretch the arms due to the nicely designed armpit joints
the feet can move a little
the legs can move apart a little (the skirt limits the movement)

WEAPON TIME!
-now some picture while holding the weapons!
