8th week for our POTW series 🙂
The picture below is owned by a member of our GPH Pool — Polycaps. There is no denying that this guy can do an awesome out of the box build of his kits. This time we are featuring his Delta Plus along with its strikingly cool pose! Good job on this one as always Polycaps!
I am creating this post for the benefit of our fellow Gundam collectors who likes to purchase model kits using their credit cards. I only know two places to buy Gundam kits and be able to pay them in an installment or deferred fashion. First is Toy Kingdom owned by SM and the second one is Toys R’ Us owned by Robinsons (only in the department store section). I think all major credit cards are acceptable and payable in 6 months. Only the amount that can be deferred differs. I will try to share my experience about them since some of the time there are kits in these two places whose prices are comparable to the toys stores in Greenhills and some private sellers
Toy Kingdom
If you are going to buy at TK, you need to at least purchase 5000 pesos before the installment options becomes available to you. You are not limited to Gundam kits only, you can mixed your Gundam kits with other toys are well. As long as after the discounts and promos, the total sum will be equal or greater to 5000 pesos.
You can purchase them at any TK stores or TK shops located within the SM Department store.
Toys R’ Us
Here you need to purchase an accumulate amount of 3000 pesos. Same as above, all discounts and promos much already been excluded and you can mixed any toys.
*IMPORTANT* — The only catch is that you need to purchase them at TRU shops located within the Robinsons Department store. This is something I was able to confirm when I bought the kit below. I have been eyeing the kit below on the main store on Robinson Galleria… I asked 10 times already and they said there is no installment scheme available (I hope someone else can prove me wrong on this one). But when I saw it on the Robinsons Department store (also on Galleria), I was able to buy it on installment basis.
Just want to share to you what my significant other had completed during the last weekend. She was finally able to complete (according to her) the thirteen (13) NG Gundam Wing 144 scale model kits. These kits are the ones manufactured way back 1995. Definitely old school. I remember her telling me that she wanted to complete these kits because she cannot afford them during that time. So this is a childhood toy dream come true for her. She collected them from many sources, little by little until she managed to get all the 13 together. Haha! I am just proud of her! ^_^
What we have here is an out of the box build review of SD Kshatriya (NZ-666) from the series Unicorn Gundam. This kit is the most innovative SD kit I have seen so far coming from BANDAI, not to mention that is is also big when finished. Also, this kit comes with an extra SD version of D-50C LOTO which I think is a stealth unit and sort of like the Unicorn series version of Guntank (like in MS 0079). I give this kit a 10/10 rating because of the gimmicks and articulation. It needs some painting if you want it to be perfect, otherwise the stickers can do fairly well. I recommend this kit to SD Gundam collectors and it is really nice when displayed side by side with SD Sinanju and Unicorn.
AGE Episode 6 “Light and Shadow in Fardain” is now available! In this episode, lots of characters appear. Some names that came up were Iwark and his adopted daughter Riria. There were also the husband and wife tandem which was an old acquaintance of Wolf. Grodek also has his share of people to meet in this episode. Also, something between the Euba and Zalam (fighting control of Fardain) has been discussed. This episode tells a lot, so I guess you will enjoy watching this one. ^_^

7th week for our POTW series 🙂
The picture below is owned by a member of our GPH Pool — Infrasmell. Photo below is the 1/100 HG Gundam Heavyarms Custom. The composition is awesome, as if you can feel how it is being in front of the mobile suit itself! Also the weathering done on the kit looks nice! Keep up the good work Infrasmell!
Just this morning, I was surprised to see someone post a promotion of their website on our Facebook page. I had to rub my eyes because I thought I read the text as “Gundam Philippines Coming Soon…“. But upon looking at it again, it read “Gunpla Philippines Coming Soon…“. My only reaction was, WTF? Not only that, he had a domain that was named GunplaPH… Someone made a website sounding similar or synonymous to GUNDAMPH (another WTF???). I don’t own any special rights to the name GUNDAM PHILIPPINES, but it was just unethical/rude posting a website like that on the FB wall whose name sounds like GUNDAMPH and creating a website domain with almost the same meaning. ^_^
I commented on that post and told him nicely that it was not the right place to promote and to put himself in our shoes so he could feel what we felt. Then a few moments later, the post was removed by him… (yeah, you wouldn’t see it now)
I think this will help a lot of people especially those starting in Gunpla. This post is a simple list to know where to buy Gundam kits here in the Philippines. Listed below are some of the popular private sellers and hobby stores and shops wherein you can go visit or inquire about Gundam kits. We also included the links to their respective Facebook pages and websites. Feel free to ask some basic questions, but as much as possible, try to ask them first because most of the time they have a FAQ section posted
Finally! a new post! Haha! Here is an out of the box build review of “SD 00 Gundam Seven Sword G“. I don’t have a decent camera during the past few weeks to use so I was not really able to build anything. I got to borrow one for a few hours so here it is. ^_^ Belonging to the new breed of SD kits, this 00 Seven Swords is a really nice kit! A little painting is needed if you do not want to use the stickers. But having tried it out using stickers, it seemed pretty cool already. I give this SD kit 10/10!
I received a very nice gift today since it will be my birthday very soon! An early gift and something that we all love – A Gundam kit! Just roughly about a year ago, around the same month (November), I got my 2nd Gundam namely MG Strike Freedom Full Burst Mode. That was the first Gundam kit I received as a gift (because I bought the 1st one – an MG RF Astray) given by non other than my GF. Now she hands me another kit — a MG Nu Gundam with Clear Parts (which I have been eye-ing at Wasabi Toys for quite some time now). I think I really can get used to receiving kits on my birthday haha.
A little trivia:
Seeing that my GF and I both love Gundams, it became the reason we went into collecting them. It also paved the way for GundamPH to be born!
Anyway, just sharing my haul for today Its nice when someone significant to you gives you Gundam kits as gift. ^_^
