Presenting my very first Transformer! Sadly it is a China-made knock off, bootleg, KO, pirated, fake or whatever you might want to call it haha!. It can be bought for around 2800 to 3100 pesos at Divisoria depending on how good you haggle (maybe less if you are really good). But mine I got off from an item trade. I traded a Gundam model kit to get this one. Anyway, I must say that this kit is really nice! The plastic quality is good. Armor and body details are close to about 95% of the ROTF version. And last but not the least, it is about 16.5 inches high and 14 inches wide (depending on how you display it)!

You might ask why I bought this? Well, I am not much of a transformer fan, but I always wanted to have one. Then what a coincidence that this came out of the market. I was going to buy the Ultimate version first, but it was like “love-at-first-sight” when we saw this maybe because it is really BIG!

We have plans to paint it, and based on our observations, it will be really easy since the parts are all big.

Below is the box it comes with. It is very big and hard to carry. That is why when I got mine, the box was already disposed off. Anyway, you will only get two major sets inside the box. First is Optimus Prime, second is the cannon which is supposedly from the DOTM version. As you can see on the box, it says ULTIMATE VERSION. But in reality it is not a DOTM U-version. The only thing included in the DOTM version is the front skirt and the cannon. PWND!

Delta Kai and Sinanju Stein Featured on Gundam Unicorn PS3 Game

Another reason for me to buy the PS3 console is the coming of the GUNDAM Unicorn PS3 Game. In line with this, two units are gonna be featured on it. First is the Delta Kai which is more like a customized Delta Plus and the second one is the Sinanju Stein (colored white and edgy) which was supposedly the basis or prototype of the red Sinanju piloted by Full Frontal. Anyway, these are just drawings and we are still to see some 3d rendered ones. Looking forward to the possibility of a model kit like them to be released in the market ^_^

HG Gafran 1/144 OOB Review | Gundam AGE

We have here an out of the box review of an HG 1/144 scale GAFRAN from the latest series called GUNDAM AGE. Gafran is that unit who looks like a dog when in flight mode and also the first unit that the Gundam AGE-1 Normal fought. Kinda reminds me of BuCue from Seed. Anyway, this kit is LONG. Yes it is long, about 10.5 inches long when in flight mode. Also I really liked the engineering of the kit, well basically, the polycap placement, the plastic, joints and articulation were superb. Though I really have to comment that the feet are not suitable for standing. You need to use the tail/cannon to assist in standing. Anyway 9/10 for me!

GBWC Philippines 2011 | Official Winners | Contest Results

Bankee has released the official list of winners from the recently concluded Philippine leg of the Gundam Builders World Cup (GBWC). This year’s contest was full of promising participants and the awesome and cool entries in that event proved so. Anyway, GundamPH wants to say CONGRATULATIONS to all of the winners. AGE Episode 8 “Do or Die on the Common Front” is now available! In this episode, Flit finally goes into combat against the UE using the Gundam TITUS. After defeating the first wave of UE suits, Wolf decides to show up on his new mobile suit called G-Exes which seems to be at par with the enemies strength. Also Zalam and Euba decides to call a temporary truce to help Flit and the people from the UE attack. And finally before the closing theme, a new twist in the story unfolds.

9th week for our POTW series 🙂  and it was really hard to make a choice since there are a lot of awesome pictures in our Flickr pool.

The picture below is owned by a member of our GPH Pool — Vanz Anazasi. This was his entry to the recently concluded GBWC Philippines Leg. His ELS Quan[T] version is scratch built over an MG Quan[T]. So the wings and the limbs are all sculpted by him. A great work indeed! Congrats to Vanz for a nicely done kit. ^_^

Latest Haul

New Haul: Dubbed as “November Ender” (sources indicated)

Just want to share to you guys some of the new kits that we will be reviewing. What we have here are some of the old kits and figures that can be hard to find nowadays. Thus, we dubbed it as our “November Ender” since it is almost the end of November (duh hahah ^_^). Anyway we got them all this weekend, some from Coldfire, from Wasabitoys, from Great Toys, from Wishlist Toys and the rest from several other people. We will group the pictures based on where they came from so you could have an idea where to buy.

Again, the purpose here is to SHARE… NOT to boast. We are hoping that the information we are going to post will help others. So please do not get the wrong idea here ^_^

MG 1/100 Hyaku Shiki HD Color Limited Version Photos

What we have here are pictures of our out of the box build MG 1/100 Hyaku Shiki HD Color Limited Version. Quite hard to find one nowadays. I actually searched high and low for this and I am really happy to have found one. This is a noob build that we did a few months after we started collecting, we tried our best to build it back then hahaha. Probably a lot of you wants to know what is the difference between the regular MG Hyaku Shiki and this HD color version, right? The regular version is more like a Chrome Gold finish (shiny, glossy and hurts my eyes) wherein the HD Color version has a matte-like metallic “Champagne Gold” finish which looks better and gives you a clearer view at the details of Hyaku Shiki‘s body armor. It is a must-see-to-appreciate kit ^_^

 

I found it hard to take pictures of this kit since I am using just a camera phone. The light seems to make the picture dim. So those are the best I could do so kindly bear with them haha!

AGE Episode 7 “Gundam Evolves” is now available! In this episode, you will be able to see the Gundam take on the TITUS form (thus becoming GUNDAM AGE-1 TITUS). The armor upgrade is necessary because UE seems to get stronger as well. The DODS rifle didn’t even scratched the UE Type Unit (A green one) in this episode. Well moving on… Emily is still a pain in the neck as usual haha. Also you will find the encounter between Zalam and Euba really funny — a comic relief indeed (two of them resembles Gouf and Rose Gundam).  Ok then, hope you enjoy watching! ^_^

MG Zeta Karaba White Unicorn Amateur Painted Build

Just want to share to you guys our MG Zeta Karaba Assault Use Prototype a.k.a White Unicorn of the Zeta series and piloted by Amuro Ray. This is an amateur painted build (you would even see some nub marks haha) It is not perfectly done, but still, you will be able to see how a painted Zeta Karaba will look like along with panel lines and most decals applied. This kit was already finished months ago, but we always fail to take photos of it. It already gathered some dust which I just brushed off before taking the photos. In my opinion, this kit really needs to be panel lined because it looks dull without it. Also, you will appreciate this kit ONLY after you applied the pink decals haha!
