Gundam AGE 4 FX Episode 40 “Kio’s Resolve, Together with the Gundam” is now available! This episode debuts a lot of stuff namely a new opening and ending theme, a new Gundam (equipped with C-Funnels) called AGE FX (stands for Follow X-Rounder) and the revelation of a new enemy… Must watch… Series seems to be giving away a lot of signs that it will end soon…

We have here an unboxing review of the Metal Build (MB) Trans Am 00-Raiser Gundam. Technically, this is the 3rd Metal Build figure released by Bandai. It was sold at the Tamashii Nation 2011 event and was available only at Japan. This is actually the first MB figure Gundam that we have, so I cannot really compare it to the first 2 MB figs. What made us buy this Trans Am 00 Raiser are the colors used to depict Trans Am mode. IMHO this is the best representation of the Trans-Am mode… It looks so elegant and sophisticated. You can still appreciate the color separation unlike the overly pink trans am that we all know.

“This MB Trans AM 00 Raiser figure has a PEARL PURPLE coating all over the figure which was NOT CAPTURED properly by the camera” – you would definitely need to see this one in person to appreciate it more…
The colors are just amazing… the multi-tone effect created by the pearl finish was simply a nice sight to behold. The WHITE PARTS are actually light purple in color.
It changes between blue-purple-pink-frost depending on the angle of the light touching it.

Gundam AGE 3Episode 39 “The Door to the New World” is now available! In this episode, Kio and Asemu is confronted by the leader of the Vagans, Ezelcant who is now piloting Gundam Legilis (created from the data acquired thru AGE-3). In the midst of a fierce battle, Ezelcant tells Kio the true intentions behind Project Eden and asks Kio to go back. An episode to watch… lots of actions and revelations.

This late October – 2012, MegaHouse is going to release two figures for the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED series. They are the Excellent Model RAHDX G.A. NEO Lacus Clyne Figure and G.E.M. Series – Athrun Zala Figure. Lacus Clyne stands at 205mm and is a 1/8 scale (sculpted by Norio Kibayashi) while Athrun Zala is taller at 220mm but is 1/9 scale (sculpted by ATTM). Release price is about 5500 yen. Pre-order prices here in the Philippines ranges between 3000 to 4000 pesos. They really look cool doing the arms stretched couple pose haha!

The latest news is that Bandai is going to build a 20 foot / 6 meter tall Gundam RX-78-2 statue at the 8thChina International Animation, Cartoon and Game Fair, a major animation event to be held from July 12-16 in Shanghai China. The Chinese version of RX-78-2 Gundam will have a unique exterior which was designed by Beijing Yankai Cultural Development Co., Ltd. Not only that, an MG 1/100 RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. 2.0 China Special Version priced at 420 yuan (2758 php) will be sold exclusively for Chinese customers. It seems that the establishment of a Bandai group in China signals the start of Bandai’s move to counter bootleggers or piracy of Gundam in China. Well, there is the saying that you keep friends close and your enemies closer. I think Bandai is now closer to the source of their problem now. This is like Bright’s bitch slap move by Bandai to declare to the people that “Hey China, this is the legit version of the Gundam you all know about… stop taking the money which is rightfully ours!” — LOL

We have here an unboxing and (out of the box) straight build review of Model Comprehend’s Anaklusmos. The complete name of this turtle looking mech model kit is Galaxia 001 [Earth Guardian EX] (ANAKLUSMOS). “Galaxia (Star God of the Universe)” is the name of the 3d animated Chinese series where it came from which looks like a buffet of all things mecha. First kit from MC that is not Gundam related (still debating whether the MC gundam kits are bootlegs or not). Got it for 1300 pesos at Divisoria 168 Mall a few months back. An overall great kit! Just need to be patient since some pieces and parts loves to fall off when changing action pose. Engineering and articulation is similar to Gundam High Grades (HG). Gundam AGE 3 Episode 38 “Kio The Fugitive” is now available! In this episode, Kio’s relationship with Lu and her brother grew deeper. He began to question himself whether what his Granpa Flit him told about the Vagans and Ezelcant were true. This is quite an emotional series which is best viewed than told. Lots of beautiful scenes and a new song to boot…

We have here an unboxing and out of the box build review of the 40th anniversary 2011 Nissin Cup Gunpla — Gundam RX-78-2. The kit included in this noodle pack is around 1/200 scale (+/-). It does not require tools to assemble (just snap-off) and will take you around a few minutes to build. The stickers are made of semi stretchable plastic (imho). It does not have much articulation so expect it to just stand there when built. A really cute Gundam novelty item if you are going to ask me.
