Finally got some free time to do a review of the first figure that we have coming from the Infinite Stratos series. We have here an unboxing review of the Armor Girls Project (aka AGP) Cecilia Alcott’s Blue Tears. For those who does not know the character, Cecilia is a first year student at the IS Academy and is an IS Cadet Representative of England, as part of the British Aristocracy. For those who still don’t know Infinite Stratos (like me when I bought this figure), I have some tidbit of info below. This is a really big figure… I was comparing it with the MG Strike Freedom in terms of bulk. have some minor issues but I will give the kit an overall rating 9.5/10. I was really happy to have bought this figure.
IS <Infinite Stratos> (IS〈インフィニット・ストラトス〉 IS <Infinitto Sutoratosu>?) is a Japanese light novel series by Izuru Yumizuru with illustrations provided by Okiura. As of April 2011, 7 volumes have been published by Media Factory under their MF Bunko J label. A manga adaptation by Kenji Akahoshi started serialization in theseinen manga magazine Monthly Comic Alive on May 27, 2010. An anime adaptation aired in Japan from January 6 to March 31, 2011, and an OVA was released on December 7, 2011. The anime is licensed by Sentai Filmworks in North America, and they released the series on April 10, 2012. src:wiki

UNBOXING
the item below is what comes out of the box… two groups of plastic clamshells
The first clam shell holds majority of the items for the figure itself
Say HI to Cecilia 🙂
Close up shots of the timid face that is attached by default
some flashes here and uneven skin texture
dat ass…
articulated on the chest part
here are some of the items included in the first pack
you got 4 pairs of extra hands for the Blue Tears (1 is already attached to the arms)
these are the hands for use by Cecilia
Second clam shell pack…
it contains most of the wing accessories, parts for the stand and the Blue Tear’s sniper cannon (??)
A closer look on the pieces
almost forgot to mention that the Manual is packed along with the base of the stand along another piece of promotional flyer
Ok Cecilia… Suit up!!!
Oh yeah… women love big guns… ^_^
Just see how big the legs of the IS are… (below is the 1/144 Gundam Age-1 Normal kit)
hi handsome… (grabs head)
hell yeahhh…
The hip cannons are connected to the back armor
Wings are connected by a clear acrylic jointed piece to recreate the floating effect
oh… you grew babe…
MORE PICTURES!!!
side by side with MG Strike Freedom FBM (though not in burst mode)
I could not think of another Gundam kit to compare this Blue Tears figure

CONCLUSION
pros:
1. a very big kit… more than 300mm high is you adjust the floating wings
2. one of the few Infinite Stratos figures out there
3. highly posable
4. bang for buck… worth it…
5. I really loved the stand
6. looks cool!
cons:
1. the character figure (cecilia) seems to be fragile but I managed haha
2. the hair has lots of flashes
3. the skin portion of the figure is still not smooth but better than the first AGP release (Wing Girl)
4. the joints doesn’t look sexy if you noticed on some of the pictures haha
5. its a big problem if you have not enough space in your cabinet…so big…
