4th week for our POTW series 🙂
The picture below is owned by a member of our GPH Pool — Kikomachi. This is a nicely done out of the box build of a Sinanju HG 1/144 model kit. According to his flicker comments, this one is not done yet during the time the photo was taken. But he did took a nice shot of it which I think really brought out the Sinanju fan inside me…
Finally decided to open the HCM Pro Destroy Gundam 1/200 scale so we could give you guys a review of this toy figure. Yes this is not a kit that you can build, instead you just need to attached together the parts which are separated upon packaging. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think if I am not mistaken that this HCM PRO version is the biggest Destroy Gundam out there in the market. Also this is very hard to find (rare) nowadays. This toy is almost the same height as the 1/144 Psycho Gundam considering that it is only a 1/200 (smaller). Also it comes pre-painted, and they sure did a nice job on the details. Some say that this mobile suit piloted by Stellar Loussier shown in Gundam Seed is “BYG-ZAM + PSYCHO” combined in honor of the Universal Century series. Sadly it was killed by Freedom (which you could re-enact using this toy by the way ^_^)
I know that many of us has a wishlist of Rare Gundam Model Kits, Limited Edition Kamen Rider Figures, Old School Transformers and many more stuff. And the only place where you could probably get them is in JAPAN. Where else? The home of all the stuff we are going crazy for! Thank god there is this one place where we could go to ask help – WISHLIST TOYS! They can handle and feed our desires haha!
Some stuff that we forgot to post about. We got hold of the October Gundam ACE issue, the one with the Gundam the Origin RX-78-02 Head Display. Also an SD 00 Seven Sword, a Mr. Color Leveling Thinner and a Tamiya Side Cutter. Looking forward to reviewing these items especially the Tamiya Side Cutter… Have always wondered what is there about this expensive side cutter. ^_^ The leveling thinner is to test whether it has better results on clear paints than “Tamiya Thinner + Tamiya Retarder” combo.
Today we have an out of the box build review of MG 1/100 Rick Dias Quattro Vageena Custom. This is the first unit of Char Aznable in the Gundam Zeta series while disguised as Quattro. It is colored RED which is typical of Char’s mobile suit. Overall we are satisfied with the kit. Though I have to say that being part of the first series of MG kits, this Rick Dias has room for improvements like on the plastic quality, color of plastic and inner frame detail. Also there were some pieces that keep on falling which disappointed me a bit but not enough to give it a bad rating. I give it a rating of 8/10.

It is currently the 3rd week for our POTW series 🙂
The picture below is owned by Amcel Ong. I think there is no doubt how awesome this Shin Musha pose is! I am a big fan of Gundam RX-78-2 and also a big fan of Samurai movies. For me, Shin Musha is the embodiment of that 2 things I really like.
Episode 2 “Power of AGE” is now available! This episode showcases how the AGE system works (talk about high speed molding and processing). Also they now have introduced DIVA, a carrier class spaceship that will carry the Gundam Age-1. Another character was introduce as well. An unnamed girl with special cognitive abilities – like a psychic which helps Flit as they escape the soon to be destroyed Nora (finally the love triangle begins ^_^). There is this new weapon created by the AGE system called DODS rifle which spins a beam like a drill to be more effective. And last but not the least, a come back of a familiar mobile suit that apparently destroyed Flit’s home…
We have here another out of the box build review of an SD kit namely SD Gundam Zeta Plus A1. This was finished a long time ago, but somehow I forgot to post this one. Well, better late than never… hehe. This SD kit was one one the few items we were able to buy from the last Toy Kingdom yellow tag sale on Gundams. It was only possible because of the Gundam Modelling contest back then.
SD Gundam Zeta Plus A1 belongs to the old SD kit series. Meaning it is the really short. Unlike the recently released versions that actually have legs while this one only has a feet attached to the small torso…

Sharing our haul for the day. All were bought from Greenhills while toy store hopping ^_^. Finally found ourselves an HCM Pro 1/200 Destroy Gundam. We also bought the MG Char’s RX-78-2 that we have been discussing for months now whether to buy it or not. Got us some SD kits as well like the Perfect Zeong, Neue Ziel, Exia Repair II, Full Armor Gundam, Zaku II and Nu Gundam HWS. And the last kit comes from the latest Gundam series – 1/144 Gundam AGE-1 (bought it because of the good articulation reviews). We bought some tools as well like an anti-paint mask and a steel ruler.
Taken by GG on the 51th All Japan Model Hobby Show are these pictures of soon to be released kits like the much awaited MG Full Armor Unicorn Gundam coming this December 2011, MG Heavyarms EW coming this January 2012 and finally an SD BB line from the Gundam AGE-1 series… Some other releases are 1/144 kits from the Gunpla Builders series.

I think the box art of MG Full Armor Unicorn Gundam is already done… You can see it on the picture below. Very true to the Version Katoki box art…
