36th week for our POTW series 🙂
The picture below is owned by a member of our GPH Pool — MikeJabile. We have here what seems to be an MG 00 Raiser and a nicely custom painted action base. Loved the based and loved the kit. Looking forward to more shares by this guy!
Ever wondered what the Batman Tumbler would look like as a Transformer? Well think no more! A guy named Speedlee already created this 11 inch high Transformers Batman Tumbler. He mentioned that it was a commissioned job for a client who went to visit Singapore, so I am guessing the dude is from there. Anyway, he used parts from the Leader Class Iron Hide, a Batman Tumbler, some Gundam Parts and misc stuff to kit bash this artwork. First attempt of it’s kind, very amusing to see this one. Kudos to the modeler and looking forward to his other works ^_^
We were in extreme AWE when we read the news about the 40th Anniversary Edition Soul of Chogokin DX (SOC DX) Mazinger Z. The thing is HUGE! haha, its like the perfect grade of the SOC line. It stands around 300mm or 12 inches which enabled Bandai to incoporate lots of new features and details. The armors can be removed to expose the all the hydraulics and metal workings of Mazinger Z. Not only that, they also incorporated LED lights on the eyes and chest to replicate the activation sequence and breast fire attack which BTW could be controlled using a remote. And if that already makes you happy, there is more! You get to have a specially designed hanger as a base. The hangar can be used to hold and display the armor pieces that are not in use. Comes with two spotlights and cranes as well. This is a must have for Mazinger Z fans!
It has been a while since we last posted the new stuff that comes in. So to finally break the new haul silence, here are the new recruits for review haha! We have here the following items, namely a Hatsune Miku Love is War DX (with the limited edition base), a (GFT) Gundam Front Tokyo convention version of Megasize RX-78-2, we also have a TOWEL from (GFT) Gundam Front Tokyo, an MG Deactive version Aile Strike Gundam, a Kagamine Rin (Nuclear Version) figure and the recently released (MC) Model Comprehend Ryujin Maru. The stuff was bought from different sources. For that I want to thank the following stores and sellers who made it possible to get the items.
Gundam AGE 3 Episode 37 “The World Of The Vagans” is now available! In this episode, Kio was brought to the Vagan’s base in the Mars sphere, “Second Moon”. There he met the Vagan leader Sir Ezelcant who tried to explain to Kio what is the truth behind their intention and how the Vagan people endured all their suffering. Kio meets some people that gave him something to think about…

35th week for our POTW series 🙂
The picture below is owned by a member of our GPH Pool — Polycaps/Ainatotz. We have here an awesome picture of their MG Musha MKII Tokugawa Ieyasu Version. Nicely done as always.
I don’t really know whether this Banpresto made Deluxe Char Figure is a 1/7 scale or 1/6 scale… But I am leaning towards 1/7 scale. Anyway, there are two types of this Deluxe Char figure that I know of. One is what we are going to review now, the one with the mask on… and the other one — well you guess it…without the mask. This figure’s height is about 8 inches. Has some some quality issues like some sections not painted and not so good details on the torso part. Probably was meant to be a prize for some mini lottery or was intended to be a low priced figure in the first place. Sells around 800 YEN in Japan…
Finally got the guts to try and do a straight build review on our 1/100 Kshatriya (Neograde Version). What we have is the colored cast version made by G-System-Best. When we say straight build for this one, we built it WITHOUT PAINTING any single part. It is basically fitting and sanding parts (if necessary) to see how it will look together. In our case we just used PVA glue to put the parts together. We do not have the equipment to do a paint job so it will stay like that for quite some time. Luckily, because it is already colored cast, we have a rough idea on how the final kit will look like. Please be reminded that this is our first attempt on resin kits… It was fun and challenging to do… ^_^
Gundam AGE 3 Episode 36 “The Stolen Gundam” is now available! In this episode, Zeheart and Zanald’s attempt to capture Gundam AGE-3 continues. Flit launches the Gundam AGE-1 to help Kio escape. Flit was even willing to get left behind. But because of Kio’s love for his grandpa, the inevitable happened. With the AGE-1 almost destroyed, they proceed to ask help at Madorna’s factory. Asemu contacts his father and asks permission to save Kio himself
Collecting and building Gundam Model Kits is meant to be enjoyed by everyone regardless of that person’s AGE and PURPOSE. It should not be limited by certain stereotypes…
It just makes me sad to hear that a lot of people are treating the hobby as if it was a career. Some people think that other collectors who do not modify their kits, do not paint their kits or even do not panel line their kits are inferior to them or think it is not the right way to collect Gunpla. Its like a smaller version of congress if you know what I mean.
Why is that? Since when do we have a STANDARD about collecting Gundam model kits and toys???
