Finally decided to open a PVC figure for review since we now have some space to display them. And for our first PVC figure review, we have here Max Factory’s 1/8th scale Kagamine Rin (Nuclear Fusion Version). This figure was inspired by the Youtube video titled “Nuclear Fusion -Meltdown-“ by Iroha and Kuma (I hope I got my facts right haha). I rarely see this figure nowadays since it was released way back August 2010. Fortunately, we found one… with that, I give my special thanks to Hubbyte Toy Store for letting us have this figure. This is the first “Rin” figure that we bought and we are still learning about other vocaloid characters as we collect. I have no regrets buying this figure, highly recommended if you want one!

Kagamine Rin and Len (orig character version)
Box is about a foot high and more than 8 inches wide.
you will see Rin’s image on almost every angle haha
This figure was sculpted by Shiningwizard@Sawachika
at the back you will see the final and only pose that she has
made by Max Factory… distributed by Good Smile Company…
Made in China and for sale in Japan only hahahah!
A peek from outside the box… Just from outside she already looks stunning…
So this is what you will see when you take out the items from the box
there are only a few stuff included in the plastic shell
2 items can be seen front the front, and the rest is already at the back
the manual is taped at the bottom part along with the wire for the headset of Rin
one paged manual
you will also notice that there is a plastic sheet to protect the figure and the bass guitar from scratching each other
presenting Kagamine Rin Nucler Fusion Version!
She can hardly stand without the base… But somehow she decided to stay there for the pictorial…
the thing you will most love with figures like this is the face… so smooth…
the hair… seamless…
I was just thinking about what she is thinking… Why you sad Rin? T___T
or maybe, why so serious Rin?
haha! seriously, I think the aim of the figure is to create an image of Rin that is both mature and rebellious… and it seems they succeeded in doing so…
the matte gold color of the guitar is superb!
well, everyone wants to know right??? it is white and the finish is really smooth… LOL
ruffles on the skirt
two peg holes on each foot
the fancy base adorned with wires! one of the reasons I like this figure
over and under
wonder if that is a fence? what do you call that?
aura rings… a really nice addition IMHO
So there you have all of them items in the box!
Well, forgot to include the red wire in the picture
since we have the base out, now I can finally take photos of Rin’s side
and back
Just curious as to why some of the ruffles where not properly attached…
is that normal? well I really could not say at this point…
but I really do not mind it since overall the figure is great!
Now we enter sort of like a build phase… One should be careful about this part because one slip and you will have a cracked accessory or even worse…
So first we attached the fence-like design at the base
followed by the rings
then after that, Rin will follow. Just insert her in the middle section, coming from the top… be sure to secure the 4 pegs on the feet.
one last thing… put the red wire on the headset below and connect it to the back side of the base
and you are done!!!
hope you enjoy all the pictures we took ^__^
Just to give you a rough idea about the size
compared against Revoltech Yotsuba
compared against a 1/144 Gundam kit
