Could not resist the excitement! We decided to do an unboxing review ASAP of the first Armor Girls Project figure namely MS Girl Wing Gundam (EW Version). It is “EW version” because the armor that MS Girl is wearing came from Wing Gundam Endless Waltz version model kit. This MS Girl was released recently, around mid of May 2012 for the price of 4800 yen and got it for around 2900 pesos here in the Philippines. The box’s size and weight are around 24 x 24 x 5.2 cm / 392g. This kit offers attachable armor parts, original posing gimmicks and compatibility with Gundam Wing Robot Spirits titles. This figure is soooo CUTE that you will get really attached with her. On to the review! ^_^

UNBOXING
there are actually two sets of plastics shells that are stacked together to save space
here they are ^_^
also found some papers which are hidden behind the background
this one seems to be a survey form with a code included (which I obviously covered)
perhaps you get something in return for that?
others are just promotional flyers
MANUAL
it is folded and placed inside a plastic
it seems to be as big as an A4 paper
Contents of the first plastic shell
contained mostly on the first pack is the whole attachable armor set (except the wings) for MG girl
for the arms – that is where the rifle and shield will connect
chest armor
waist armor
calves and shin armor
another armor for the calves — and the gundam shoes of course ^_^
aside from the one on the MG Girl, you get 3 pairs of extra hands
for the rifles
for the beam saber
close fists
this one is for the back pack — you are to put this only if you are not going to attach the wings
it supports the chest armor and keeps it in place
the armored head is a separate piece
MS Girl (bare)
notice the holes? that is for the backpack/wing
holes for the calf armor

ARTICULATION
it was quite scary to move the limbs at first…
I though they were going to break
not as good as Revoltech joints but works for me…
ball joints (and some rough spot on the arms)
you need to lose some weight Girl!
noticed those cellulites? and those baby fats? hahaha!
unfortunately, Bandai DID NOT focus much on QUALITY CONTROL…
I was hoping for a smooth skin finish…
Leg Articulation — I managed to reverse the leg
but that is the maximum allowable with regards to how wide it can split…
apparently, you are limited to how much you can reverse fold the arms
luckily, the hands for this one is very easy to change…
Second Plastic Pack contents
components for the stands such as the base and the clear arms
the beautiful wings…
decals are quite sharp I must say ^_^

ATTACHING the ARMORS
you need to remove the head by splitting the hair and removing the face LOL
then you will see that the joint is connected perpendicularly to the back hair piece
same goes for the extra head, separate the parts then attached it to the neck joint
remove the hands to be able to put the arm armor
you also need to remove the simple foot to attach the leg armors
first you attached armor that covers the shin and calf area
followed by the calf armors
then you can now attached the Gundam version foot
last piece to attach is the shin armor
to attached the waist armor just open wide the waist armor and attach it to a peg at the back
then let it hug the waist of MG Girl
there is a small cover in the chest that you need to remove before attaching the chest armor as shown below with the hole
same as the waist, just open the chest armor wide then let it hug the chest area
to secure the chest armor, either use the extra white piece shown before
or attach the wings…
the stand arms has 3 points of articulation and I was happy how sturdy it was when holding the figure
