We have here an out of the box build aka snap-fit review of a Real Grade (RG) Strike Rouge Gunpla Expo Limited version. This is not included in the regular RG release since it was part of the Gundam Plamodel EXPO held last year (2011). In fact, it does not have a number. This RG Strike Rouge is very similar to the RG Aile Strike all except for the girly-pink color. Being our first RG, I must say that I am amazed at the details this kit has. Indeed, this is a combination of the features of an MG and a PG placed in a 1/144 kit. But just be careful because some parts have a tendency to break because they are too fragile. No, we did not break any ^_^

let us start building this!
Included for this kit are plastic stickers.
I do not know if they have the same sticker as the regular version.
The ones that look like foil stickers are actually plastic stickers with foil over them.
misc
FOOT
frame for the foot
LEGS
The frame is pre-built
Reminds me of the frame of either the MG RX-78-2 ver 1 or the PG RX-178
leg and feet connected
the connection from leg to foot is not using a ball joint
just a simple peg
articulation
do I see vendetta’s face on the knee cap?
can still spot the nubs
WAIST
connection point of waist and torso
even the front and back skirts have some part separation
nice looking waist I must say
side skirts can hold the beam saber hilt
mechanism that allow more movement for the side skirts to allow dynamic pose
waist attached to legs
ahuh…
can do the splits if the torso is not yet attached. ^__^
ARMS & SHOULDER
you would not think it was for the arms unless you see from the manual that you are building the arms
with the armors attached
very nice details…
articulation
TORSO
not so many parts, but it does look too mechanical…
connection to the arms
HEAD
LOKI???
HELLBOY?
nah… strike!
mobile suit complete…
Char: still not that tall…
BEAM RIFLE
SHIELD
note about the hands:
fingers have additional 1 point of articulation compared to MGs
AILE PACK
connection to the back of Strike
BEAM SABER
DECAL PLACEMENT
these kit has tons of decals…
you may get tired just by looking where to place them
or maybe you get to be intimidated at first
PHOTOSHOOT ^_^
SIZE COMPARISON
against MG 1/100 Wing Gundam
against HG 1/144 Gundam AGE-1 Normal
against HG 1/144 Zaku Warrior Live Concert version
Strike rouge is pink, but not as pink as that
against SD Strike Freedom
against SD Wing Zero Gundam
An overall great kit.
At first I thought that the pink will be too strong that it might look like it is in trans-am mode, but luckily the pink is enough.
Also I observed that the only thing constantly falling off is the V-fin, other parts are staying still
The joints are really tight and doesn’t seem to get loose easily
highly poseable, very articulated
RGs are the only 1/144 that has an internal frame
though I think it costs too much… just a little more and you can get an MG version… but I guess there is a market out there who collects only 1/144 kits.
I would definitely buy an RG again if the price is right

Cool 🙂 Color pink, I also think buying MG rather than RG is a better option 😀

Thanks! Yuh, just a few more bucks and you get yourself an MG kit… BUT, I think some people still prefer 1/144 kits because of display space issues or simply put that it is the line they are collecting… You know bandai, they want to make EVERYONE happy! hahaha

Does anyone know here how much amazon charges for shipping? I have now in my cart 9 1/144 gunplas. I’m pretty lazy and the shops near me don’t have these gunplas that’s why I’m buying on amazon. Thanks in advance!

are you from the Philippines? As far as I know Amazon does not ship to the PH… though using EMS/FedEx might be possible… Do note though that if you use services such as FedEx/Express Cargo, they will charge you fees if ever your cargo paid customs taxes.

Thank you so much for the reply. Oh. Yup i’m from ph. Antipolo, Rizal. I did the math and I’d be saving if i buy from amazon. The star build strike is like for 750php there and in sm masinag it’s 1200. Though i havent taken into account the shipping cost. Any rough estimate on shipping cost? Thanks!
