Been hearing a lot of good stuff from this 1/144 HG Gundam AGE-1 Normal model kit that is why we bought one to give you an out-of-the-box-build review and to see what is good or what is new for ourselves. It seems Bandai have done a nice job on this one. The articulation is great, the color separation is good and the details are sharp! I think I will recommend this kit to those who wants to start on with collection Bandai Gunpla. For us this is comparable to an RG (real grade) model kit. I think now I know why Bandai was all out on advertising Gundam AGE.
Side of box
There is supposed to be a coupon for the Gundam.info contest inside… but here in the Philippines, the sellers remove them and they are the ones entering the contest… 😦
Single sheet, folded into pages…
5 runners including polycaps and 1 foil sticker set
Good part separation ^_^
Foil stickers for eye, chest part and head cameras
The link on the runners seems to be thinner than before…
BUILDING THE KIT
The parts are nicely separated which makes it easier for those who would like to paint their kits.
The way the head was constructed was different especially on the EYE part
head finally attached
right arm completed | left arm exploded view
You only have 1 spare hand
I always prefer to use the open palm one
Articulation is really nice for a 144 kit
Exploded view of the main section and the parts
Articulation is really nice as I have told earlier
Articulation was considered here as well
legs and waist attached… hi BRS!
I separated the hands to be able to let him hold the rifle
Everything attached! ^_^
Playing more with the articulation
First 1/144 kit that I saw do this… Oh yeah!
He likes BRS!
