Finally! I have here a review of a snap-fittedMG 1/100 Sazabi Metallic Coating Version. This version is the first Titanium-like finish I have ever seen. MG Sazabi Metallic Coating Version should have been called Titanium as well because they are really the same as the Sinanju Titanium finish. I used to have this box opened at the hobby store just to take a look inside and compare it to the sinanju. Maybe Bandai decided to change name to Titanium to properly distinguish the finish. Its unfair for this model because most metallic finished kits are sparkly underneath, hurts eyes and hard to see details — in short very “CHROMY“. While this MG Sazabi is very attractive and looks like a smooth gem. Well you will see later in the pictures what I am talking about. I give this kit 10/10!
The Gunpla community is excited because a Gundam contest namely the 2011 Gunpla Builders World Cup (originally BAKUC, then became BMKWC then finally to GBWC) Philippines Leg is almost here. Coming this November 18 to 20 is the Regional Finals which is going to be held at Robinsons Ermita, Manila. A draft of the rules, prizes and promo mechanics has been announced coming from the official distributor of Gundam here in the Philippines — BANKEE.
Here is a snap-fit review of SD ZZ Gundam with Mega Rider. Was able to buy it for only 100 pesos at the Toy Kingdom SM Megamallsale a few months back. This is a not so rare kit, you can still find this online or on some other mall toy store like Toy R’ Us. Well about the review, the kit really needs some painting which is very typical of old version SD Kits… The additional armor pieces, the big cannon and the mega rider gimmick was really cool. All in all I have to give this SD ZZ kit a 8/10 rating because of the accessories included. Below are the pictures for your reference.
Its been a while since we last posted new hauls. Well, today we got some pre-owned kits and figures namely the MSIA DX (1/60) GP02A & Nu Gundam (still in good condition though missing some parts) plus one MG Char’s Rick Dom. We have as well an unbuilt MG Rick Dias. Got a deluxe Char Aznable figure too (taller than an MG). For the SD kits, we finally got our MC EX-S Gundoom and sanding sponges! Some more SD’s are Master Gundam, Gunner Zaku Warrior (luna maria custom), RX-178 MKII Titans and a GP02A as well 🙂 Probably wondering about the 1/60 thingie… I will talk about that in another post. For now you can check them below.
I was reading gginfinitenews‘ blog about the (Chara-Hobby) C3 x HOBBY held Last August 27 to 28, 2011. And I saw some kits that are pretty interesting. Namely the 1/144 resin cast like ELS Qan[T], Hi-Nu and RX-78 GP04 Gerbera. A Nobell Gundam [Berserker Mode], 1/48 Gundam AGE-1 Normal and the kit I am excited to see – 1/144 NIGHTINGALE
here are the pictures of the kit I am talking about
1/144 MSN-06-2 Licht Nightngale (sadly this is not included: a customized sinanju according to sources)
I have here a out of the box (OOB) buildreview of MG Char Aznable’s Gelgoog. All I can say is that this thing is really awesome. Maybe I am biased when it comes to Char’s MS, but really, this one can make both funny and bad ass poses. Also, it is bigger than your usual MG 1/100 scale kit. Very typical of Char’s mobile suit. Gelgoog kinda reminds me of Rocksteady and Bebop from the Ninja Turtles, but this one has a nice big shield and a Naginata. I have not personally saw this mobile suit from the series, but I am sure I will enjoy watching it fight.
Before we even started our own blog and forum, GMAC is one of the many places I go to learn about GUNPLA… And in celebration of MAC forum’s first year anniversary, a party was held at none other than DC23’s crib 🙂 It was really a wonderful experience meeting everybody! finally! Also it was a pleasure meeting our guests WAYLANDER, IZZAKU81, TOYMAKER and Edmund owner of Hobbymate all the way from Singapore! Plus Spiderbeef and I won many items! hahaha! What a great day it was!
Special thanks to the organizers namely DC23, MatX, Vanz, Kisapmata and Tam. 🙂 (Hope I did not miss anyone)
We have here a tutorial on how to create our very ownsanding sponges and sanding sticks which functions like their very expensive 3M brand counterpart. This guide is very useful for us Gundam hobbyists since this method is cheaper and we can save a lot of our money. Meaning more savings for buying our favorite Gundam kits instead. Haha! You will learn to create the sample below after reading this post. Inspired by some of our friends (papa Ed and papa Polo of GM) who did the same. From them, to us, then to you guys! Enjoy!
I was able to read some rumors about an MG 1/100 Full Armor Unicorn Gundam plastic model kit to be released by Bandai… But I am not so sure if this is true. Can somebody correct me on this? I was only able to see some pictures of an MG Unicorn MOD by Takayo04… Below are some of the pictures I was talking about.
Have you ever thought that there you need a really big magnifying glass while working on your Gundam? Or maybe you saw one with a stand and lights but is priced too high? Then this magnifying glass is for you!!! Haha, sorry for the infomercial intro… Well I have here a MEGA MAGNIFIER which I found at Toy Kingdom SM Megamall… Well Toys R’ Us have them too but theirs is more expensive… This is a really great tool and toy. 3 words… Big, big and BIG! LOL
Here it is. Size comparison against MG Astray Red Frame
