Finally decided to open the HCM Pro Destroy Gundam 1/200 scale so we could give you guys a review of this toy figure. Yes this is not a kit that you can build, instead you just need to attached together the parts which are separated upon packaging. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think if I am not mistaken that this HCM PRO version is the biggest Destroy Gundam out there in the market. Also this is very hard to find (rare) nowadays. This toy is almost the same height as the 1/144 Psycho Gundam considering that it is only a 1/200 (smaller). Also it comes pre-painted, and they sure did a nice job on the details. Some say that this mobile suit piloted by Stellar Loussier shown in Gundam Seed is “BYG-ZAM + PSYCHO” combined in honor of the Universal Century series. Sadly it was killed by Freedom (which you could re-enact using this toy by the way ^_^)

HCM Pro = High Complete Model Progressive

You can re-enact the death of Destroy Gundam if ever you have the HCM Pro Freedom. Special parts are included in this package to do that

this one…

Some possible poses on side of box

other side saying something about the special pack for Freedom

Back of the box

Unboxing!

Parts are separated in the package

Even the head is not attached (notice the plastic guard on the neck collar?)

Headless…

This part gave me a really hard time.. It was hard to remove…GRRR!

Small wings/flaps for the UFO-like backpack

the “Aufprall Dreizehn” high-energy beam cannon

This toy is already pre-painted as I have mentioned above. And I am proud to say that Bandai did a good job!

pre-painted means less work for me… haha

Attaching the parts!!!
cannons can be lifted during Attack Mode

Flaps?

Head unit can be lowered during Attack Mode

Tenen!

to attach the back part, you need to connect the rectangular pegs

Tenen!

front skirt armor can be moved freely, this is because during Attack Mode it has a special purpose

arm weapon can be removed / repositioned

articulation of the legs

How to convert to Attack Mode???
-first you need to twist the bottom part (waist and legs) 180 degrees.
-the rear skirt armor should be facing the front.
-slightly bend the knees and then lower the last claw of the feet

then re-position the arm armor as shown below

hide the head in because the backpack will be tilted forward

tilt the backpack forward as show below. You can lift the cannons as well if you like. ^_^

see the peg on the backpack? you need to attached the arms there!

I like to see the 1/144 version of this kit, if there is one. But sure it’s almost the size of 1/144 Psycho Gundam. I also love the painting details, even in close up. sigh!

I think the 1/144 size will be bigger than the 1/144 psycho haha… There was somebody who made a scratch built 1/100 scale of destroy gundam… it was big!!!
