We have here an unboxing review of the Metal Build (MB) Trans Am 00-Raiser Gundam. Technically, this is the 3rd Metal Build figure released by Bandai. It was sold at the Tamashii Nation 2011 event and was available only at Japan. This is actually the first MB figure Gundam that we have, so I cannot really compare it to the first 2 MB figs. What made us buy this Trans Am 00 Raiser are the colors used to depict Trans Am mode. IMHO this is the best representation of the Trans-Am mode… It looks so elegant and sophisticated. You can still appreciate the color separation unlike the overly pink trans am that we all know.
“This MB Trans AM 00 Raiser figure has a PEARL PURPLE coating all over the figure which was NOT CAPTURED properly by the camera” – you would definitely need to see this one in person to appreciate it more…
The colors are just amazing… the multi-tone effect created by the pearl finish was simply a nice sight to behold. The WHITE PARTS are actually light purple in color.
It changes between blue-purple-pink-frost depending on the angle of the light touching it.
– yes it is pink
– about the size of the MG delta plus box
Back of box
Top and Bottom respectively
– contains manual, one plastic clam-shell and a styro
The manual is just 8 Pages… Printed in black and white…no colors whatsoever…
A close up look on the two containers mentioned…
Let us open up the styro case first…
The mobile suit is secured very well…
under the stand are some more parts for use…
nice to see that all items are individually wrapped…
beam saber hilt
a nicely done beam saber effect (no nub marks)
connector to combine GN weapons
misc transparent items used to hold the figure pieces
the claw can be used to hold the figure by the waist
the long and short sticks are actually used to support the big sword
You got 5 pairs of hands…
4 pairs can be found packed inside the styrobox and one (1) comes attached to the mobile suit itself.
The mobile suit itself – Gundam 00
Contents of the plastic container – this time no more individual plastic wrappers. haha!
stand for raiser
0 Raiser fuselage
0 Raiser wings
GN drives with an the brown part…
The brown area is the part where the raiser wings will connect
these are the condensers… (I hope that is correct…)
extra cockpit cover if you do not like the orange one currently attached
So what really is the Metal part there?
Based what I have seen I would say that this figure is around 30% metal… especially on the joints…
Majority of the inner frame looks like it is made of metal parts…
Gundam 00 Raiser…
See? It looks like it is made of metal
The joints on the legs
beam saber hilt goes to the rear skirt for storage
emo shot… hahah!
close up on the shields…
foot can bend that much
This is how it looks like when you are trying to change hands…
It is really easy to swap hands; you just need to connect to the small peg
making use of the weapon connector here…
can not do the full split, but this is already awesome…
This is one example of the multi-tone effect: the blade is clear green when viewed from its broad side, but slowly blends into a frosty white when viewed at an angle.
first time to see this gimmick… nice addition I must say…
That is all folks! I am really sleepy already… its 4:29am and I am still trying to finish this blog post hahah!
Hope you guys liked it… feel free to ask anything by adding a comment…
